A sheltered heiress who grew up cloistered in one of New York City’s most richly-historied mansions, kept, along with her sisters and beautiful young mother under lock and key by a well-meaning but domineering, old world tycoon father, Altina Schinasi Miranda (1907-1999), a pre-feminist visionary, broke wildly free of her constraints and forged a free-spirited, civically active, and creatively prolific life. I shot this documentary from 2009-2010 for director Peter Sanders.

A story of survival, the streets and the power of friendship. A gritty story of three friends from the 'hood, Rameck Hunt, Sampson Davis and George Jenkins, who made a pact in high school to find a way to go to college and then medical school. The three doctors not only accomplished this, but they are now spreading the word to inspire other inner-city kids to stay off the streets and take the educational route to a better life. I shot this documentary for Andrea Kalin of Spark Media back in 2005.
